3月28日，日本公平贸易委员会公布了对微软收购动视暴雪一事的审查结果：认定该收购“并不会实质性限制某些贸易领域的竞争”，实质上允许了该收购案的进行。
日本公平贸易委员会在推文中称，与海外当局合作进行了包括内部文件和外部信息、意见等方面的审查，认定从日本市场的状况来看该收购案并不存在违反《反垄断法》的问题。
日本公平贸易委员会在2022年6月26日开始募集社会上对微软收购动视暴雪一事的情报和意见，以研究收购案对今后游戏领域竞争的影响；2023年3月10日开始审查，3月28日发出通告称不会下达排除措置命令，本案审查结束。
