从大学毕业后携手丈夫 Plunket Greene 在伦敦国王路（King’s Road）街角开设第一间精品服饰店「Bazaar」，到发展出美妆品牌、内衣、鞋子产品等风靡世界的跨国企业，Mary Quant 虽然非科班出身却秉持对于时尚热爱、敏锐的商业市场洞察力开创出一片天下，而受到 1950 年代街头、乐团舞者及现代主义启发，其各种古灵精怪的想法也勾勒出属于她的新颖风格，像是直筒迷你裙、紧身裤、PVC 雨衣都是经典代表作。
除此之外，Mary Quant 的时尚态度同时也为女性意识和穿着自由风气奠定全新里程碑，打破社会传统界线，以座右铭「穿在身上的东西不能无聊。」塑造出突破性着装外观，进一步促使原本保守的伦敦接受女孩们透过服装展现个人特质。
