上个月末，一位来自国际数据公司（IDC）的分析师告诉彭博社，索尼必须要主动降价才能挽救 PSVR2。本月初的另一份报告也表示，鉴于商业表现不佳，索尼已将 PSVR2 减产 20%。不过外媒 PlayStation LifeStyle 并不认为 PSVR2 的销量不好。
SIE旗下搭配PS5的最新VR产品——PSVR2PlayStation LifeStyle 指出，尽管彭博社在一篇描述 PSVR2 颓势的报告中称，截至 3 月底该设备预计仅售出 27 万至 30 万台。和 Insider Gaming 的观点相似，如果该消息成真，这其实意味着 PSVR2 成为了 VR 设备中首发表现最棒的产品。
此外 PlayStation LifeStyle 认为，根据几个主流 VR 产品销售数据表格，以及来自 TweakTown 的分析，PSVR2 的实际表现并不像分析师们说的那样糟糕：
外媒Tweaktown以及推特用户Lewrian提供的数据表格都更倾向于PSVR2其实是一款相对成功的产品
推特用户Lewrian提供的数据表格“PSVR 初代在其前五个月卖出了 91.5 万台。PSVR2 仅在第一个月就达到了该数字的三分之一。”
“虽然销售速度可能会随时间有所减缓，但目前没有任何迹象表明 PSVR2 亦会如此。”
目前，索尼还没有对外公开 PSVR2 的实际销量。
