品玩4月18日讯，据IT之家报道，苹果首款“跌倒检测”功能专利可追溯到 2018 年公示的20190103007，后续又获得了至少 5 项相关专利。根据美国商标和专利局（USPTO）上周四公示的专利，苹果公司再次获得了一项“跌倒检测”功能专利。
苹果在报告中表示，在 65 岁以上美国老年群体中，每年有近三分之一报告出现跌倒。从 2007 年到 2016 年，65 岁及以上成年人的死亡率每年增加 3%。
苹果利用 iPhone、Apple Watch等设备上的加速度计、陀螺仪、磁力计、气压计、全球导航卫星系统（GNSS）和全球定位系统（GPS）等传感器，更准确评估用户步行步态的质量和动态平衡（walking steadiness，行走稳定性），并预测在未来 12 个月内跌倒的风险。
