4月19日消息，一家英国的创业公司Gaussion开发了一种名为MagLiB的技术，利用磁场来加速电池的充电过程，而且不会影响电池的寿命，甚至还能延长电池的使用周期。MagLiB的原理是在充电时，给锂离子电池施加一个特殊设计的磁场，从而大幅缩短充电时间。这个磁场是通过一个连接到电源的垫子产生的，类似于无线手机充电器。这个垫子可以安装在地面上，与任何现有的电动汽车或充电系统兼容。
Gaussion的创始人兼CEO Thomas Heenan说，使用MagLiB技术，可以在不到10分钟内给电动汽车充上150-200 英里的续航里程。而且，这个技术不会损害电池的性能，也不会影响其保修。相反，经过测试，他们发现使用MagLiB进行快速充电反而能提高电池的寿命。
