Netflix 宣布最新科幻影集《The Boroughs》将由 Duffer Brothers 执行制作，本剧将由故事原创 Jeffrey Addis 和 Will Matthews 两人共同创作，叙述新墨西哥州沙漠中的退休社区，集结多名看起来不像英雄的英雄们一同合作抵抗外来威胁，以防偷走他们所没有的东西——「时间」。
Jeffrey Addis 和 Will Matthews 两人曾与 Netflix 合作开发知名影集《The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance》，而 Duffer Brothers 表示一直以来都是 Jeffrey 与 Will 的死忠粉丝，双方迫不急待让影迷们加入本次共同打造的全新冒险，预计将会时而恐怖与时而有趣，且最重要的是将会感人肺腑。
