事件发生于 4 月 27 日，环保团体 Declare Emergency 的两名成员（一男一女），现身美国华盛顿特区的 National Gallery，各自将油漆涂抹在 Edgar Degas 的雕塑作品《Little Dancer of Fourteen Years》，所幸在这座雕塑外还有透明保护罩，并未让作品受到尤其直接攻击，不过具体损伤状况仍在调查中。
