29 岁的 Joel Embiid 本季缴出 33.1 分、10.2 篮板 4.2 助攻，并在本季拥有三场得分超过 50 分的比赛，包括在 2022 年 11 月面对爵士拿下个人生涯新高的 59 分，而 Embiid 也是继 2001 年 Allen Iverson 之后再次拿下 MVP 奖杯的 76ers 球员，也是联盟继 Hakeem Olajuwon 之后第二位拿下该奖的非洲球员。
