据《The Guardian》报导，成立于 1994 年的北美多媒体平台 Vice Media 似乎正在准备申请破产重组。
对于 Vice Media 上周宣布重组新闻部门、裁员一百多人、取消品牌节目等举动，知情人士今回再透露，过去几个月里，Vice 一直在寻找买家，希望能以 $15 亿美元的价格出售公司，避免破产；据悉有超过五家公司有兴趣收购，但截至目前未能达成交易，而相关人员也认为 Vice 被收购的可能性很小。
Vice Media 最初源自一本报道娱乐、文化方面的杂志《Voice of Montreal》，1996 年在 YouTube 开展多媒体制作，成效惊人，主频道至今已超过 1,670 万订阅数，而后更将业务延伸到电视、电影、广播、新闻广告等，高峰时期公司估值高达 $57 亿美元，虽然之后陆续下滑，在 2021 年落至 $30 亿美元左右，有兴趣的读者不妨多加留意。
