品玩5月25日讯，据界面新闻报道，Arm正限制其“蓝天”研究，已关闭一个旗舰技术部门。在今年备受期待地上市之前，Arm将精力重新投入到更具商业可行性的产品上。
ARM去年关闭Arm Research，这是公司首席执行官 Rene Haas 所实施一项战略的一部分，该战略涉及在所有业务中裁员至多15%。Arm当时表示，大部分裁员将集中在一般、行政和其他非工程职能部门。
据悉，ARM 联合创始人 John Biggs 原本主导Arm Research一些部门与大学的合作，研究未来的芯片应用，他现已转为兼职。据悉，毕格斯目前已加入Arm投资的一家英国芯片公司Pragmatic半导体。去年离开Arm的几位前雇员称，关闭雇佣约150人的Arm Research，表明Arm正着手减少对该行业未来的思辨研究，转而专注于成熟的和潜在商业产品开发。
