马斯克在法国巴黎举办的VivaTech活动上透露，旗下脑机连接技术公司Neuralink将在今年内进行首例人体试验。
依照马斯克的说法，Neuralink首例人体试验将在一名四肢瘫痪或截肢患者植入设备，但并未透露将有多少患者接受试验，以及试验将持续多久时间。
Neuralink日前已经获得美国食品药物管理局批准其针对人脑植入晶片的试验申请，并且强调此为脑机连接技术重要进展。
在此之前，Neuralink已经分别在猪仔、猴子等动物进行试验。虽然Neuralink标榜在猪仔顺利成功连接脑电波，但在猴子身上的试验却造成不少受试对象死亡，因此Neuralink当时面临不少社会谴责。
