消息来自 Fandango，Christopher McQuarrie 透露《Mission Impossible — Dead Reckoning》并非系列最终章，并与 Tom Cruise 及团队们已经对未来有了初步的新想法。Christopher 过去已经执导本系列的《Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation》、《Mission: Impossible – Fallout》与《Mission Impossible — Dead Reckoning》上下两集，如今看来他也有望接管本系列个人第五部作品。
本片将在 2023 年 7 月 14 日正式上映，第二章则是 2024 年 6 月 28 日上映。
