MotionGPT 通过将语言数据与大规模的运动模型融合，实现了预训练，能够增强与运动相关任务的性能。研发团队认为，人类运动与人类语言类似，因此通过将人类运动转化为运动令牌的方式来构建一个“运动词汇表”，并将这些运动和文本进行统一的语言建模来处理多个运动相关任务。
实验结果表明，MotionGPT在多个运动任务包括基于文本的运动生成、运动字幕、运动预测和运动中间帧生成方面取得了最先进的性能。
