随着微软在美国赢得诉讼，英国反垄断当局英国反垄断机构竞争与市场管理局（CMA）与微软达成了共识。据悉双方同意暂停就其决定向竞争事务上诉法庭提起的上诉以便进行进一步谈判。
微软总裁 Brad Smith 表示：“在美国法院做出判决后，焦点现在又回到了英国。虽然我们不同意 CMA 的所提出的担忧，但我们正考虑如何修改交易并通过 CMA 可接受的方式解决来这些担忧。为了优先处理这些提案，微软和动视暴雪已与 CMA 达成了协议。双方均认为，暂停在英国的诉讼符合公众利益。为此，我们已经联合向竞争上诉法庭提交了意见书。”
CMA 确认了上述说法，同时表示正准备与微软就可行的解决方案进行商谈。据悉，竞争事务上诉法庭可以批准或否决双方暂停诉讼的提案。值得一提的是，微软此前还曾权衡动视暴雪退出英国市场可能性。
