品玩7月25日讯，马斯克周一发帖解释了他为何要将推特改名为X公司，并去除著名的蓝鸟标志，称此举是为了将该业务重塑为一个广泛的通信和金融交易平台，即他此前多次提到过的“万能应用”。马斯克写道：“推特被X公司收购，一方面是为了确保言论自由，另一方面也是为了促进X这个万能应用的发展。这不仅仅换个名字继续做同样的事情（新瓶装旧酒）。”
