传递奥运圣火体现体育竞技价值和精神的指标，是奥运会开幕的重要仪式，此次找来设计师 Mathieu Lehanneur 制作的全新的奥运圣火火炬。Mathieu Lehanneur 表示，打造奥运会火炬是设计师一生一次的梦想，就像与历史的非凡邂逅，它既有仪式性又有魔力，是神话般的物体，作为凝聚力和分享的象征，它确实在奥运会中发挥关键作用。
火炬的设计灵感来自平等、水、和平 3 个元素，Mathieu Lehanneur 透过物体的水平和垂直对称来表达平等，水元素则参考塞纳河，并通过火炬上的 3D 振动效果进行反射，再现水的波纹运动以及光的反射，再藉由曲线形状展现和平，体现温柔、慷慨和团结。
火炬制造商 ArcelorMittal 预计生产 2,000 个 2024 年巴黎奥运会火炬，数量比过往减少 5 倍，以降低制造时所产生的垃圾。
