里德・乔布斯现年 31 岁，其中“里德”是以乔布斯夫妇结婚的国家公园命名的。
该风投公司目前已经从 Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center、洛克菲勒大学和麻省理工大学等机构筹集了 2 亿美元。
里德・乔布斯表示：“我还在斯坦福大学上大学时，我父亲死于癌症。我读医学预科是因为我真的想成为一名医生，能够治病救人。”
该组织是 Emerson Collective 的衍生品，Emerson Collective 是由史蒂夫・乔布斯的妻子劳伦・鲍威尔・乔布斯创立的慈善组织。在成立 Yosemite 之前，里德曾担任该组织的健康总经理。
