据报道，Google正在与环球音乐（Universal Music）洽谈AI音乐版权授权问题，主要是AI往往会在没有获得授权的前提下使用艺术家的声音和旋律来生成新音乐。AI会模仿艺术家的声音来生成音乐，而音乐产业已经开始着手处理AI深度伪造（Deepfake）歌曲的问题。
报道称，谈判的目标是开发一套工具，让粉丝可以合法生成AI音乐，并向版权所有者支付费用，在整个流程中艺术家拥有是否加入的选择权。
目前Google与环球音乐的谈判仍处在早期，暂时没有产品推出，华纳音乐也在与Google谈判。
