文章内容表示，导致 LK-99样品电阻率急剧下降和磁铁部分悬浮的原因是由于材料中的杂质，尤其是硫化亚铜。这一结论彻底打破了LK-99作为史上首个室温常压超导体的希望。
Garisto 还在文章中对于室温超导体事件的来龙去脉进行了总结。此次事件发生在7月下旬，韩国研究团队在 Arxiv 上发表了两篇论文，表示新材料 LK-99在温度高于 127ºC（400K）的常压环境下是超导体，引起了业内诸多讨论。可惜的是，来自全球各机构经过多次复现实验，均得出LK-99 不是室温超导体的结论。
