Nintendo 近日正式宣布献声 27 年的资深马里奥配音员 Charles Martinet 将不再担任配音工作，并以「马里奥亲善大使」的身份来延续与角色的关系。
Nintendo 在一份电子邮件向 io9 声明 Martinet 不会参与即将推出的《Super Mario Bros. Wonder》，但他们很高兴能够荣誉 Martinet 所带来的影响和贡献，并透露他的声音将出现在全新《Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon》高清 Switch 游戏中。
除了马里奥之外，Charles Martinet 也负责为路易吉、瓦利欧和瓦路易吉配音。长期以来都是马里奥代言人的 Martinet 近期也陪同巡回出以支持《超级马里奥兄弟电影版/The Super Mario Bros. Movie》电影，许多粉丝得知此消息后感到非常难过。
