新作中，玩家将跟随两名新主角在“无名之地”中探索。这里充斥着各种诡异、阴森的场景，尤其是一个巨型玩偶的出没，给主角带来了巨大的威胁。在冒险过程中，主角们必须巧妙躲避这些威胁。
而在玩法上，新作带来了一个重大的创新：在线合作模式。尽管玩家仍可选择独自一人的冒险，但新作强调了合作的乐趣。如何将这一新作与前作连接起来仍有待玩家探索，但明显的是，幻想和对自由的渴望仍是游戏的核心主题。
