构建自主代理（根据自己的需求选择目标）和自适应代理（在不断变化的环境中生存）一直是人工智能 (AI) 的圣杯。活着的生命体是这种代理的一个典型例子，它提供了有关适应性自主的重要信息。本文重点关注内感受（interoception），内感受可以监视生物体的内部环境以将其保持在一定范围内，这保证了有机体的生存。为了开发具有内感受功能的 AI，我们需要将表征内部环境的状态变量从外部环境中分离出来，并模仿生命体采用内部环境状态的数学特性。本文提供了一个新的视角，探讨内感受如何结合控制论、生命理论、强化学习和神经科学的最新进展来帮助构建自主和自适应的 AI agent。
